We are so glad you are here!
We are so excited to offer you in person events at discounted rates via Maple Hill Farm, or our local Libraries!
These classes are discounted from our regular rates listed on our Services page. Therefore they are more cost effective than trying to schedule me to travel to your group for group coaching. These offer the same opportunities to learn and grow, and receive my coaching at a discounted rate!
You can attend virtually if you need to! Email me to make arrangements. Please also scroll to the virtual option for live classes section at the bottom of this page to get more details.
* Please note that ALL classes/events/workshops, etc cannot be refunded the week of the class. *
Our classes at Maple Hill Farm will still give you that wonderful post class shopping experience! We will have our products there as well as the products that Maple Hill will be selling.
Classes will also have tons of great book resources for you to look at, a refreshing herbal coffee alternative or herbal tea to drink. (Please bring your own water)
You can also add our events to your (Google) calendar with the link on the bottom left of the calendar below.
Back to School
Check out our Healthy Home Series, just in time for Back to School! Register for each class individually by scrolling to each class and look for the "register" button.
The first three classes (the first class took place Aug. 15th) in this series would do well for older kids who help with household chores, babysit younger siblings or other kiddos, etc. Ages 14 and up are free with registered adult.
The final class in the Back To School Series (Parent Self Care) would also be great to bring along any support people in your life, such as your own parents (if applicable) who would love to learn great self care habits as they support you (and for themselves as well!). Please have them also register and pay.
* No Refunds the week of the class *
Foraging & Herbal Education Series/Group
At Phoenix, we believe that hands on learning is massively important. Being in person with one another and learning and growing together has long been missing in our busy, online lifestyles. Slow down and learn what you can find for food and herbal remedies in your own backyard!
Please note: If you intend to sign up for our Herbal Education Group, the September and October Foraging Groups are included in that price. (The Intro class is not included in the Herbal Group susbscription). If you want to register for the Herbal Group, scroll to that section below.
Our Intro 201 class (which took place August 8th) is great for people of all ages. The following foraging courses would be best with children a little older, as we may do some meal creation and will need to have our attention focused more than in the intro course.
Why Choose Us?
Kayleen has 20 years of experience foraging plants and several years of herbal education, alongside Health Coaching Certification and practice. Her experience, mix of principles, and intuitive & connected teaching style ensures an excellent learning environment.
No refunds the week of class.
Have you been wanting to learn about Herbalism, or grow in your herbal studies? This monthly herbal education group is designed to help you learn about root cause herbal medicine instead of "this herb for that symptom" type teaching that is overly popular in our Western society. Every class will challenge and empower you.
We will dive into holistic herbalism studies, discuss the difference between "allopathic" and "holistic" herbalism, learn methods used over the centuries, and more!
Class is the 2nd Sat of every month, and will be ongoing. Right now group registration is through December.
This course includes the Foraging Group and will start at the same time as and participate in the Foraging Group September and October. We include this because forming your own relationship and ID knowledge of herbs out in nature is an integral part of holistic herbalism. Payment for the program is via monthly subscription.
You will also have the opportunity to do a make and take each month to build your own personal herbal collection. As we learn together, you will start to consider what herbs/herbal medicine preparations you will want to try out. Class attendees will have access to my tinctures and dried herbs to start an herbal tincture, or to create an herbal formula from my collection of already made tinctures. Selection is based on what I have available at the time.
Children ages 14 and up can attend and up will need their own registration. They will have the same assignment suggestions and optional quiz opportunities as the adults.
Are you ready to take the jump and invest in yourself/your loved ones and learn herbalism? Register now to learn and grow together with like minded people from your community!
As with all of our classes, you will have the opportunity to shop from both our products and Maple Hill's products after class.
Please note: we strongly recommend signing up for the Introduction to Foraging Class that takes place in August. The course is a great way to kick off this journey! (All other foraging classes are included in your Herbal Group subscription)
No refunds the week of class.
If you need a discounted rate, please reach out via email.
Located at Maple Hill Farm in Ladysmith, WI
Please read details below before reaching out for the virtual option.
There is an option to attend our live classes virtually. Since these classes are heavily discounted, the virtual option will not include the materials for the make and take unless you purchase a make and take kit for the class.
This means you will need to secure your registration and ok virtual attendance in enough time for the kit to be put together and mailed out to you.
If you plan to use the kit purchase option, it is strongly recommended that you purchase the make and take kit two weeks before the class. Your kit will include the herbs or essential oils samples needed, the jars, droppers, or spray bottles needed, etc. Note: It will NOT include any alcohol for tincture making classes. Alcohol is hard to ship, therefore you must secure that locally.
If you plan to purchase all of your own supplies, or have them already, it would be wise to reach out for a listing of exactly what you will need so that you have it on hand.
Because these live classes are discounted, there will not be a reduced rate for virtual attendance, whether you attend the make and take portion of the class with us or not. We thank you for your understanding of the value of our time and work that is put into these class offerings.
We do not offer virtual options for free classes at our local libraries, or through guild work unless specifically stated in the event description.
There is an email link below so you can reach out about this option.
